I started working on this project back in the third semester during my program at BCIT. My project was to come up with a company that will specialize in social issues. I decided to go with homelessness and started doing my research and looking for inspiration across existing websites and organizations. After the research was done and the project was complete, I decided to keep working on it and create a mockup in Figma.
The biggest challenge of this project was trying out a different style. Usually, I’m used to working on projects that are colorful and cheerful but this time, since it was about a serious topic like social change, I wanted to try something different which was why I decided to work specifically on this project.
The creation process was quite simple, starting with a low-fi mockup and working my way into filling in sections, searching for images. Some images were AI-generated. Writing content was slightly challenging due to a lack of my knowledge in this field but as I was going through existing websites, I found my way around.
